Anyone have recent experience with NYC movers they actually liked?
Hey everyone — I’m getting ready to move from my one-bedroom in Astoria to a new place in Park Slope next month, and the thought of dealing with movers in NYC is already stressing me out. I've had one bad experience in the past where the guys showed up two hours late and then tried to tack on extra charges at the end. I really don’t want to go through that again.
I’ve been checking Yelp and Google reviews for NYC movers, but it’s hard to know what’s legit and what’s just overly filtered. I’m looking for a moving company that’s reliable, upfront about pricing, and hopefully won’t break my stuff or disappear halfway through the day. Bonus points if they’ve dealt with 4th-floor walk-ups, since that’s what I’m leaving behind.
